Nouveau Terra is an interactive narrative experience, a solo project created during the "Narrative Design for Games" module at University of Staffordshire.

Using "RichCast", software developed by the Oliver twins and Neil Campbell, I created a story inspired by the early beginnings of Canada (New France) and sci-fi franchises such as Dune & Bladerunner.

I used Miro & Excel throughout the planning & production of my project to keep myself aware of deadlines to hit, components required to complete the game and to allow time to reflect on the project as a whole, prior to hand-in.
Microsoft Forms was used for the playtesting responses, from which I received thorough and actionable feedback to make positive changes to the project, whilst also understanding what players were enjoying and being able to celebrate those successes.
The script was created over several iterations, responding to both self-critique and feedback from the playtesting. ChatGPT played a pivotal role in crafting the foundations of the story around settings, name and central components.
It is important for me, as a designer, to work with AI and not against it. For this project, ChatGPT helped bring the project off the ground by providing a setting. I was then able to build from there, ideas began to flow and soon a script was crafted.
